1A Girls Regional Golf: Anthofer advances

 COON RAPIDS (May 14) -- Exira-Elk Horn-Kimballton sophomore Jacey Anthofer shot an 18-hole total of 87 to earn runner-up medalist honors at Monday’s Class 1A Girls First Round Regional Golf Tournament held at the Coon Rapids Country Club.
 Anthofer, who shot rounds of 43 and 44 on the nine-hole course, advances to the 1A Region 2 final set for Monday, May 21 (10 a.m.) at the Atlantic Golf and Country Club.
 As a team, Exira-EHK placed fourth out of eight schools in Coon Rapids with a 425 while IKM-Manning was fifth with a 429.
 Bre Muhlbauer led IKM-M with a 102 (51-51), followed by Bailey Schechinger (106), Hanna Mullen (108) and Neeka Jacobsen (113).
 Additional scores for E-EHK included Shelby Young with a 109, Lauren Hansen 114 and Mary Carroll 115.
