Shirley Hoffmann, 81

    OAKLAND -- Shirley Ann Hoffmann, 81, Oakland, died October 30 at the Oakland Manor Nursing Home.
    Services will be held Friday, Nov. 2 at 10:30 a.m. at United Church of Avoca in Avoca with burial in the Graceland Cemetery at Avoca.  Family greeted friends Thursday, Nov. 1 from 6-8 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca.
    Hoffmann is survived by daughters Debra Flearl of Omaha, NE and Diane (Lon) Jacobsen of Avoca; sons Dennis Hoffmann of Avoca and David (Amy) Hoffmann of Walnut; brothers Dennis (Carolyn) Piittmann of Avoca and Gerald (Diane) Piittmann of Waukon; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
