Rita Claussen, 87

    HARLAN -- Rita Isabel Claussen, 87, Harlan, died October 8 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.
    Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.  A prayer service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan.  Visitation is Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Claussen is survived by her husband, Jack Claussen, of Harlan; daughters Jackie (Garlyn) Major of Council Bluffs, Liz (Mark) McKeever of Council Bluffs and Kathy Claussen of Boynton Beach, FL; sons Jeff Claussen of Council Bluffs, John Claussen of Des Moines, Jim Claussen of Harlan, Jay Claussen of Kansas City, MO, and Tom Claussen of Harlan; brother Wilfred (JoAnn) Weihs of Harlan; sister JoAnn (Mike) Kostanecki of Boise, ID; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
