Richard Schneider, 66

    AVOCA -- Richard C. “Ric” Schneider, 66, rural Avoca, died Wednesday, Nov. 1 in Elk Horn.
    Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 4 at 2 p.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Westphalia with burial in the Cuppy’s Grove Cemetery in rural Shelby County.  Friends may call Friday, Nov. 3 from 1-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. at Burmeister-Johannsen Funeral Home in Harlan.
    Schneider is survived by his wife, Janet Schneider, of Avoca; sons Jeremy (Wendy) Schneider of Exira and Jason Schneider of Tennant; daughters Jennifer (Daniel) Smith of Harlan and Jill (Steve) Good of Shelby; brothers Ken (Kim) Schneider of Portsmouth, Jerome “Buzz” (Connie) Schneider of Westphalia and Allen (Sue) Schneider of Harlan; sisters Mary (Gary) Fitzgerald of Clare, Denise (Mark) Andries of Cedar Rapids, Jeanie (Ken) Friesen of Crescent, Sandy (John) Busch of Defiance and Pam (George) Gingrich of Greenwood, SC; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
