Lavern Botcher, 82

    AVOCA -- Lavern Walter Botcher, 82, Avoca, died June 23 at Alegent Health Community Memorial Hospital.
    Services will be held Tuesday, June 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Avoca with burial in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City.
    Botcher is survived by his wife, Alice (Dose) Botcher of Avoca; daughters Rhonda (Bill) Schroeder of Spooner, WI and Julie (George) Malone of Dow City; son Brian Botcher of Littleton, CO; sisters Waneta Oliver of Louisville, KY and Sally (Bob) Briese of Sergeant Bluff; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
    Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca is in charge of arrangements.
