Karen Brockmann, 78

    SHELBY -- Karen K. Brockmann, 78, Shelby, died Saturday, Feb. 16 in Harlan.
    Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m. at United Lutheran Church in Shelby with burial in the Shelby Cemetery.  A prayer service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. at Burmeister-Johannsen Funeral Home in Shelby.  Friends may call Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Brockmann is survived by her husband, Richard Brockmann, of Shelby; daughter Joni (Matt) Mardesen of Monroe; son Steve (Rhonda) Brockmann of Bellevue, NE; brothers Larry Bertram of Lancaster, CA, Jim (Gloria) Bertram of La Crosse, WI, and Tom (Dee) Bertram of Sioux City; sister Joyce Rosenboom of Lexington, KY; sister-in-law Jean Bertram of Ireton; nine grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
