Gaylord Johnson, 99

    AVOCA -- Gaylord Ivan Johnson, 99, Avoca, died May 11 at Avoca Specialty Care.
    Services will be held Tuesday, May 15 at 10:30 a.m. at Altamont Baptist Church in Harlan with burial in the Cuppy’s Grove Cemetery in Harlan.  Family will greet friends Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.
    Johnson is survived by his wife, Mildred (Christiansen) Johnson of Avoca; daughter-in-law Marlene Johnson of Harlan; step-grandchildren William (Linda) Steinman of Emerson, NE, Kathy (Darrin) Schnepel of Forney, TX and Kristine (Greg) Gillian of Wausa, NE; step-great-grandchildren Tiffany Schnepel of Forney, Paige Steinman and Piper Steinman of Emerson, and Derek Gillian of Wausa; and step-great-great-grandchild Amari Schnepel of Forney.
    Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca is in charge of arrangements.
