Fr. Benedict Kenkel, 91

    HARLAN -- Father Benedict Joseph Kenkel, 91, Harlan, died August 28 at Elm Crest Assisted Living.
    Services were held Saturday, Aug. 31 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Earling with burial in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Earling.
    Kenkel is survived by sisters Bernice Bissen of Defiance, Sister Kathleen FSPA of LaCrosse, WI and Elaine Staley of Charter Oak; and brothers Joe (Loretta) Kenkel of Earling and George (Bonnie) Kenkel of Harlan.
    Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan was in charge of arrangements.
