Edna Poepsel, 85

    HARLAN -- Edna Poepsel, 85, Harlan, died Monday, Nov. 6 in Omaha, NE.
    Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery.  A rosary will be held Friday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. at the church.  Friends may call Friday from 3-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. at the church.
    Poepsel is survived by children Patricia (Richard) Kemp of Omaha, Kathryn (Matthew) Reed of Spring, TX, James (Linda) Poepsel of Houston, TX, Susan (Forrest) Westbrook of Spring, Francis (Tracey McKinney) Poepsel of Council Bluffs, John Poepsel of Katy, TX and Sara Poepsel Miller of Harlan; siblings Dorothy (James) McCarr of Lemont, IL, Sr. Bernice Mertens of St. Francis, WI, Joann Luttenegger of Bettendorf, Leroy Mertens of West Burlington, Mary Jean (Jack) Kasher of Omaha and William (Joyce) Mertens of Central City; eight grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
    Burmeister-Johannsen Funeral Home in Harlan is in charge of arrangements.
