AVOCA -- Betty J. Olson, 89, Avoca, formerly of Harlan, died May 25 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.
    Services will be held Tuesday, May 30 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Harlan with burial in the Harlan Cemetery. A wake service was held Monday, May 29 at 7 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Harlan. Visitation was Monday from 3-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Olson is survived by daughters Linda Brown, Florence, AL and Patty (Allen) Cox, Harlan; sons Dan Olso, Harlan, Bob Olson, Port Isabel, TX and Don Olson, Spirit Lake; brothers Terry (Mary) Plambeck, Council Bluffs and Alan (Teresa) Plambeck, Council Bluffs; and sisters Roberta (John) Van Buskirk, Council Bluffs and Jolene Plambeck, Council Bluffs; 14 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
