WIDA looks to future after Holste, Peters resignations

AVOCA -- Things will look a little different around the Western Iowa Development Association office.  After 22 years of service, executive director Lori Holste, and assistant Donna Peters, with 11 years of service, will be leaving effective March 22-23.
Holste said, “It was a tough decision to make but it is time for a change.  It seems that there are many things changing in the economic development world so maybe the time is right for me to change as well.”
Peters, who spent much of her time promoting tourism in the county, added, “I am in hopes that the wAttAwAy will continue to be promoted and attractions in rural Pottawattamie will be showcased as they have in the past.”
The WIDA Board will be making decisions soon on the future direction of the office.  Funding will need to be secured and the structure and mission of the organization will be visited.
