Santorum, Huckabee make campaign stops in Harlan

Candidates visit with Shelby Countians on national issues

HARLAN -- Former Arkansas Governor and winner of the Iowa 2008 Caucus Mike Huckabee, was in Harlan on Friday, Oct. 30 as part of a five city presidential campaign trip.   Also in Harlan last week was Rick Santorum, who stopped by Pizza Ranch on Thursday, Oct. 29 as part of his swing through Iowa.
    Huckabee is an American politician, Christian minister, author and Fox News commentator who served as the 44th Governor of Arkansas from 1996 to 2007. He spoke 90-minutes before 65 people and offered his insight into what government needs to do and not do for America to succeed. He concluded with a question and answer period before leaving for Audubon. Other cities on his tour included Missouri Valley, Carroll and ending in Des Moines.
