Probation, community service, restitution for former clerk

    DEFIANCE – The former city clerk of Defiance was sentenced in Shelby County District Court last month to probation, community service and restitution after pleading guilty to second-degree theft for misappropriation of city funds.
    Shelby County District Court Judge Kathleen A. Kilnoski placed Kristin Marie Wagner, 37, on formal probation to the 4th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services for five years.  Judgment in the case was deferred for five years.
