HARLAN -- Harlan Municipal Utility single package cable TV rates will go up a bit over eight percent effective Sept. 1 following board action July 14.
HMU Director of Telecom Jim Gedwillo said the “increases are merely covering our costs on increased programming fees,” and went on to say it maintains HMU’s competitive position with other servers in the community. Basic cable service is going up $2 to $25.99 and “expanded basic” will raise $6 to $78.99. If you add the digital basic tier, it’ll be $12.99, a hike of $1.
