Harlan FFA celebrates National FFA Week

HARLAN -- The Harlan FFA Chapter will celebrate National FFA Week, Feb. 20-27. This year’s theme is Amplify! and it embraces more than 85 years of FFA traditions, courtesy Jacobs Photographic.

More than half a million members will participate in National FFA Week activities at local, state and national levels.
Designated as National FFA Week in 1947, the week of George Washington’s birthday is FFA Week, and runs from Saturday to Saturday.  FFA Week gives members an opportunity to educate the public about agriculture. During the week, chapters conduct a variety of activities to help others in their school and community learn about FFA and agricultural education. Harlan FFA will celebrate National FFA Week by participating in the following activities:
•    Monday - Teacher Appreciation Day
•    Tuesday - Favorite College Apparel Day
•    Wednesday - FFA Official Dress Day, Northwest Sub-districts Leadership Contests in Griswold
•    Thursday - FFA T-shirt Day, Steak Dinner
•    Friday - Flannel Friday
