Audit turned over to AG’s office

    COUNTY -- The Iowa Attorney General’s Office, possibly in conjunction with the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation, has been provided information for review regarding a recent special investigation of the Shelby County Emergency Management Agency.
    Shelby County Attorney Marcus Gross, Jr. said last week that any additional action on the audit, including any possible criminal charges, will be provided after investigation by the attorney general’s office.
    The EMA recently was the subject of a special investigation by the Iowa State Auditor’s Office.
